Question about viewing Word and Excel Documents on the Blackjack

How long does it usually take to load up a Word or Excel documents? Most of my files are below 1MB and some are as big as 1.02MB. Also when viewing documents on the BJ, will the formatting be lost and reformatted to fit the screen? Is the viewing experience the same as the viewing experience on the PPC with Pocket Word and Excel? Thanks!

It uses an app called picsel viewer which essentially just shows you an image of the document. Thus it doesn't impact the formatting, but you're not actually opening the file, you're opening a picture of the file.

Blackjack is using WM Smartphone not PPC so you can't edit the documents. Also keep in mind that although the screen is very pretty its still quite small so you end up panning and scanning A LOT to see/read anything.

I know that you can't edit documents and that's not what I'm asking. I want to know how long it takes for the document to load up. Is the reading experience (for the documents) the same as that on the PPC platform?

I haven't used PPC platform but I can't imagine that its the same given that on PPC you actually have pocket versions of the applications whereas on Blackjack you're simply looking at a picture of the document.

It doesn't take long for it to load up, a few second for a multipage word doc) but you have to pan back and forth to reach line.

Why should I get clearvue if the blackjack comes with picsel viewer?

Have you ever owned a PPC before? If so is the viewing experience the same as it's on the PPC? I think that will help me understand how the blackjack will be like for me.

No the experience is not the same. In one case (Picsel Viewer) it is more like viewing a JPEG where you can zoom in and out and pan across the image. On a PPC as they are the pocket apps it looks more like you are in the midst of editing within Word or Excel on a PC but with a limited size screen. Apps to edit Word and Excel on a Smartphone are few and far between.
