Seriously, if you have a good quality camera with macro capability, you'll get some nice pics.

This is actually a pretty cool program.

There you go Chillin! No more macro sd camera bullcrap! It captures the pic to windows paint, and you can do whatever you want with it.

I haven't tried it yet but i will soon. There is another program I saw somewhere on BBforums. It might have been in a sig, a search will find it for sure.

So does anyone know of any ways to get screenshots when not connected to your PC?

Currently an application like this is not possible on a BlackBerry, because of OS restrictions.
The only way to get a screenshot is the javaloader.exe tool from RIM or the device simulator.
There are at least 4 tools to make the use of javaloader easier:
