A707 -- how to play audio through a headset?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I bought the adapter from Daydeal and plugged it in, but audio is still using the phone's speaker. Saw nothing in settings on how to get it to work.

How do I route audio to the headphones?

I also bought an adapter at Daydeal. Plugging it in did disconnect my phone's speaker, but no sound comes through the headphones. I tried various headphones. I sent it back asking for a replacement. I don't think that changing any setting on the phone should be necessary.

Sounds like your connector is not the correct one. The phone's speakers are muted when you plug the connector about half way in. No fiddling with any settings is required.

I just got the adapter from daydeal for my a707 today and I'm not getting any sounds from my headphones either. I just emailed customer support to get a replacement. I asked them if they confirmed if this adapter works for this phone since it is new. I'll see what happens.

I got mine off of Fleabay. I bought the USB data cable while I was at it too.

I emailed them last Monday and they told me they received a batch of bad adapters and the adapter could be sent back for a refund. They didn't say anything about exchanging so I'm assuming they haven't received a new batch yet.

I just checked daydeal's website today and they pulled the adapter I received and put a different one up. The problem is this one is 12.99 on their site. I'll check their ebay storefront to see if it's cheaper. I'm hoping they will exchange it even up for the newer adapter.
