I normally get 3g service in Austin, TX, except when at work where it is just edge. I have an issue where internet stops working, and have to reboot the blackjack to be able to get on IM or IE. Has anybody run into this?

My internet stops working frequently during the day in downtown Houston. I never have to reboot as it comes back on it's own. I can monitor it by watching the little E or 3g disappear by the signal strength bar. I suspect that it is due to network volume because it seldom happens early in the morning but is more of an issue during peak business hours. This has not been an issue when I am away from downtown. The only reboot that I have had to peform on my Blackjack was when it locked up while viewing a Windows Mobile web site.

i've had my bj since it came out and the only rebooting i've had to do is to change the battery.

I have had a blackjack for about a week and have been having troubles where the internet and IM app will stop connecting to the internet. My activesync email will keep updating my mail from my corporate email server so the data connection works but IE and IM stop working. I can reboot the phone and it starts back again. This has happened twice in the past few days. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution? I will probably return it if isn't more reliable. Thanks for any help.

I had this problem more then a few times and it bothered me. I switched the phone settings from WAP to Internet and havent had the issue once since then (About 12 days ago).

What process did you use to do this?

I tried this and it didn't work for me. Which data plan are you on?

Make sure you uncheck "Automatic" in connections for IE. That was causing me some weirdness.

Had the same problem and I had it set to WAP under internet explorer. Now its set to Internet and it works now.
