A707 Listen To Stream Music?

Hi,
I can't seem to figure out how to get the music player to stream music from non-cingular (xm, mobiplay, etc.) sites. There are a couple of radio stations that offer internet streams I'd like to pick up with the phone. Any help is appreciated. TIA.

Regards-Michael G.

I read from a spec sheet on the LG cu500 that you can't listen to streaming music, so maybe Cingular is locking out this feature for some reason. I suppose industry wants to buy music in order to listen to it on your phone and not use it as a kind of radio.

Have you tried listening over the A2DP bluetooth connection? Can you listen to video sound or other audio over BT?

yeah it sucks the XM app is awesome! but there is no way to use the app shut, you can use A2DP to use bluetooth headphones, and no headset came with the phone. WTF cingular?

my Z710i and W810i can do it (even my Z710i can play some streaming real), but not with Cingular.....

Orb works fine with my a707... I wouldn't mind streaming from some of my local radio stations, but the streams all are Windows Media, and the a707 doesn't seem to like that.

The XM streaming radio that Cingular is selling beats the pants off the MobiRadio in my opinion, even though you can't use it with the flip shut.

With ORB, set your preferred stream method to 3GP (however you spell it). I do it all the time with my CU500, works great.

THANKS! I didn't know I could add my own stations. (Relative Orb newbie) Now to figure out what the audio is so choppy...

Either way, I love the XM app, but if it can't be used while the flip is closed, it isn't going to last long for me. It shouldn't be too hard... MobiRadio does it. And it looks like almost the same app.
