Your Opinion Counts! - Best Music Phone?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Alright guys, taking a poll on what music phone CURRENTLY on the market for Cingular is the best. Here's what I want you to take into effect:

1. Ease of use (transfer music, UI etc..)
2. Battery Life
3. Music Playback
4. Storage Capacity
5. Durability
6. Actual phone performance
7. Additional features that contribute (A2DP etc..)

Alright my pretties, which phone do you feel is the best and why?

I'd like to see these results as well.

ya right now...just from what I've heard and about a day of playing with it...I'd say the SE W810i...although I think it's far from perfect.

I would go with either the W810i or the A707 (Sync) but they are both far from perfect but get the job done pretty well. The W810i does not support A2DP.

I say the w810i pretty much covers what you need. Sony's UI is one of the easiest to use, as well as putting music on the phone can be done a few different ways all fairly simple. The battery life is quite good as well as the sound quality. It uses MS Pro Duo cards so the memory is expandable up to what you can afford. RF on the phone has also been very very good. And candy bar styling so its fairly durable no moving parts to break.

As much as I dont want to say it the best music phone I have ever used out of the many I have owned is the V3i (itunes version), because it integrated perfectly into my Itunes library, and like an ipod it was easy to use. The 100 song cap sucked, but it was a good trade off.

I cant wait for the iphone!

Yeah my vote is w810i.

Posted by: guapinoy

coming from a ol' w600i user...my vote will have to go to w810i also. The sony walkman interface is one of the best!!

w810i hands down, half of my songs from itunes wont go on my v3i because it wont accept songs with higher than 192 kbps bit rate. oh and another thing that sucks about the v3i is that it has a 1.3 mp camera but still has the gprs data speeds so it takes forever to send pics.

the w810i has a better camera, 2mp...and also uses edge for data and can stream mobi radio, which is a cool feature (9.99/month but it's worth it).

oh and the w810i can be expanded to 4gb memory which none of the other phones will do because they all use microSD cards and they dont make them that big yet

I would be using a w810i if they didnt have volume problems. Why can't anything be as loud as the good ol' w600i?

My vote is the v3i. Love the looks of the phone, love the keypad, love the iTunes.

To each his own, but my vote is the v3i.

A707 or CU500

W810i!! V3i??? NEVER! That can't even play VBR mp3s and who uses iTunes anyways?

Posted by: darkninja

I also forgot to metion that if you have a mac you can sync up the w810i with a program called itunemywalkman that works great.

I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss any phones, there's usually a nut that throws a wild phone in there every once and awhile. (ROKR?) LOL

In terms of sound and quality, I personally would go with the CU500 however I am quite upset that you can't browse separate folders on the memory card from the actual player menu like you can with any Walkman series phone. With that said, in terms of menu options and ease of use, the W810 will take that hands down. I only wish the volume on it was a tad louder.
