Dash MyEmail - checks it automatically even when I set it to "Never"

Hi all....

You all were so helpful answering my last question (how to enter a backslash) that I thought I'd ask here about my latest.

I have my work pop3 email account set up. It works great, no problems, except - I have set it to never automatically check messages, and it still does it anyway. I can't tell how long in between checks, but it keeps doing it.

The reason I want it not to is to save battery - it uses EDGE to check the email, which if I'm not wrong, uses up more battery life than when EDGE is off. I'm at work, in front of my email and the internet on a regular computer, so I have no need to have EDGE on my Dash at the same time, so I like to keep the EDGE off to save battery life. But the damn thing keeps checking my email and thus turning on the data connection. I read in another forum, other people have had this problem too, but no one there knew how to fix it.

Help?

Thanks.

Do you have the t-mobile e-mail triggers active? That will cause your phone to download the e-mail messages even if you set it to never poll on outlook.

Hi, thanks for the reply...

the answer is, I don't know! How do I check if I have it active? On the t-mobile site after I log in?
