V3i Restart and Crackling Spkr Sound?

I remember when my old V3 used to suddenly restart itself. Like everything would go blank, and then the main screen would appear slowly, etc. So far, this happened twice with my V3i. The first time when I got a phone call and now when I got a text. Right when I open the phone to check whoever it is, the music stops and all of a sudden there is this crackling sound that comes through the speaker for about 2 or 3 seconds and everything restarts and all is well. Has this happened to anyone before? Should it be something to worry about..? Ahh. Help!

I've never heard of this happening before. Phones should not restart by themselves. There is obviously a problem with it. I'd worry about it because it is unsafe to be carrying around a phone that doesn't work properly. You should probably call your service provider and see what options they give you.

Thanks for your response. I am returning the phone to the Cingular store this friday and exchanging it. Hopefully I won't have this problem again. It's reaally scary lol.
