T_Mobile Blackberry Pearl strange issue/bug

I just got the phone yesterday, and updated the software this am from the T-Mobile site. All is great on the phone and the 2 gig mem card works fine.
Here is the point to my post, when I enable the Multitap feature, which I perfer, sometime the Icon in the upper right corner that tells you if you are using CAP/ABC stays there even if I'm back on the home screen, thus the icon covers the Network Signal and EDGE info.
Anyone else have this issue?
It seems to be the Multitap, becasue if I switch to SureType it goes away.
Might be a bug in the new SW.

I've seen this on all of the Suretype BBs I've owned.

So is there a way to get rid of it when it shows up on the main home screen. I hate that it covers up my signal info. I haven't found a real way to get it to go away.
Thanks

On the 7100T and on my Pearl, the MultiTap icon disappears once you go back to the home screens.

I think it has something to do with firmware - I'm running Telefonica's .67. Even before the upgrade, on my original Roger's FW, it always appeared only when it needed to (in searches, contacts, etc...)

No I know what he is talking about... I had the same issue as he did. I unlocked my Tmob and upgraded the os. I am now on Cingy and upgraded to .69 and that issue is gone.

Hope this helps.
