Antenna Booster for RAZR ... Does it work?

Hi,
My mother recently picked up a Razr and here is the deal ...
I have a E815 Moto phone and this phone has the extendable antenna ...
I get great signal reception within my mother's home and never have any problems with drops ... and we both have the same verizon service ...
However, her new Razr (which doesn't have an extendable antenna) has problems getting and keeping a signal. Most of the time, she will have to walk outside of the home to get the signal she needs.
I was wondering if there are any signal boosters out there for the Razr's antenna that some of you have tried and had great success with?
Thanks in advance,
TIM

an external antenna that plugs in on the back of the phone worked good for me, a lot better than I would have expected, but it did have a tendency to fall out. I have also tried a wireless booster from Wilson and that worked really well.

thanks ...
Any of the "install behind battery" boosters work?
I'd like to keep her from being tied down from moving about while on the cell phone.

No they do not work.

The behind the battery reception boosters don't do ANYTHING except void your warranty. They claim to 'remove background radiation from your phone so that your phone can get a better signal.' This is what we call a crock of ****.

I would agree that those behind the battery reception boosters are junk. I bought one once for 99 cents just to see if they worked and it didn't do anything.

If those boosters worked, the cell phone manufacturers would simply put them right into the phone. The manufacturers want their phones to have good reception, after all.

Thanks Guys ...
The wilson unit would be nice but it's very pricey ...
I'll be looking for some sort of clip on type antenna or something ... for her to use ...
If you know of any ... post up ...
thanks again,
TIM

The closest functional solution would be the ARC Wireless Freedom Antenna.
It has a 3 foot long coax cable that is mated to the 352015 Wilson adapter for the Razr.
