BT earpiece with A2DP quality?

I don't know if this exists, but are there any BT hands free earpieces that can use A2DP with my 3125? I like to listen to audio books on my phone but using a regular hands free device and BTAudio results in horrible quality. I normally liste to this in the car so I can't be using full A2DP stereo headphones and don't want to be carrying those around in my laptop bag anyway. I would like just a single earpiece that can take advantage of the higher quality communication.

Any devices out there that do this other than buying stereo headphones and breaking one of them off?

Not that I know of. Most of the Stereo BT headsets are very compact and there are a few that are ear buds.

I use the i.Tech Clip S38, there is also an R35 that supports AVRCP. These aren't single earpiece devices, but a bluetooth clip w/ a 3.5mm jack on it. It comes w/ a mono earbud and stereo earbuds. I use it w/ the mono earbud and it sounds pretty good, way better than it does w/ BTAudio (I tested it both ways).

I did however change the BT A2DP registry settings on the 3125 to actually run stereo, not joined stereo. I also changed another variable that escapes me at the moment, but it was something w/ the buffer size or sample rate, I forget.

Anyway...if you don't mind a cord between your collar or pocket where you place the clip, and your ear, it is the only solution I found. I never found a regular BT earpiece that supported A2DP.

Can you pair the i.tech with more than one device at a time? I saw a Plantronics device that could pair with two devices at the same time. This is huge for me because soon I'll have my work VOIP connection on my BT enabled laptop and I want it to be paired with my cell phone so I can run either one.

Dunno, I'll try it tonight and let you know. Do you mean paired as handsfree w/ one and A2DP w/ another, or paired with A2DP w/ two devices at the same time?

one headset that works with a laptop and a phone at the same time in any capacity.

Have you checked out the Sony-Ericsson HBH-970?

It can pair to multiple devices and supports both hands-free and stereo blue tooth operation. It also works with the new MS Voice Command. I am using it with my Dash and am very impressed with the stereo sound quality and battery life of the headset. It goes for about $120 and may be worth checking out.

I'd have to agree with Donovan on this -- I had a chance to play with a friend's the other week, and I'm itching to order one ... but am torn between that and waiting for the Invisio Q7 (jawbone sensing headset due out soon) which could really be useful for me since I'm working in noisy server rooms quite often. Oh, decisions decisions!

Anyway, you can read a few reviews on the HBH-970 here: http://www.reviewhub.com/sony-erics...70-reviews.html

i considered the sony, but decided against it only because it didn't have a 3.5mm plug on it, aren't the headphones wired right into the pendant?

i just couldn't justify $100 for something that the wires would eventually short out on...i can swap out whatever headphones i want w/ my i.Tech.

i'm sure the Sony's sound better though...
