bad front LCD on a v3i

I am doing the FREE phone (piece of ----) from Cingular for my girlfriend since she abuses phones. I have a v3i which something went wrong w/ the front LCD, and her current phone is a v3. Even though the v3i has the lit M on the front...........I was hoping I can swap out the LCD from the v3 to the v3i.
Hopefully someone can give me an early Christmas present and tell me I'm in business????????????

They only sell the 2-piece screens as one item, that should give u a clue.

guess I wont be able to use the front lcd on the v3i then..o well its off to cnn to order one then
