mainstream and everyone knows about it. And how long till this happens?

None of the phones are really impressing me, the CU500 is the only thing i would consider getting, but dont want to if a bunch of new phones are going to come out in a month or two.

And when is the AT&T thing going to go mainstream aka television commercials, no more cingular phones ect..ect..

att i heard is coming mid 2007 but everythign a rumor who know we could turn on our phone on new years day and find att logo staring at us instead of cingular and cingular could b 2006. out with the old in with new kinda thing basically it a waiting game

From what I've read it's a very superficial change, as in, your phone bill will have the AT&T logo on it and the web site will go all blue. It doesn't seem as though the name change is much more than that, thus don't expect a whole slew of new phones.

I am eligible for an upgrade, but I am sitting on it, mostly because I'd like to get my two lines aligned as far as contract end date (mine is up in a few days, hubby's line is up in March) so I'm waiting for the second line to become eligible, which is Feb. 19. If there's a time to get a new phone, it's now, since so many new phones are released this time of year and with the holidays, this is when the phones are at a good price.

So, yeah ... I think there's a big thread about this stickied in the main Cingular forum.
