I'm now using a Nokia 6030 that is beat up pretty bad, and I was going to buy another one. After checking the Cingular GoPhone site, I noticed that the SE J220a and T290a are now available for the same price ($30.00).

The phoneScoop site has almost no info on the J220a, but the reviews of the T290a are decent for a low-end phone.

My main criteria for a good phone is reception. Anyone have any experience with these phones? Should I just stick with the 6030 for its reception?

I love SE phones but there were just to many negative reviews of the t290a out there. I use the 6030 as a back-up alot and it has excellent RF. If you are using the 6030 then i say there is no need to spend your money on the t290 unless you have nothing better to spend your money on.
