(8525) Text issue?!?!

I tried to search for similar problems for solutions, but no luck...

Ok, so all of a sudden when I send a text message or reply to one, I get a message that says, "Cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. Would you like to send the message anyway? Yes No."

If I click yes, the message still goes through. I just don't understand how or why I get this message all of a sudden. I wasn't getting this message yesterday. It doesn't seem like a big deal since the messages go through, but the fact that it happens is what concerns me.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm having this same issue on my 8125. It's very annoying to have to hit yes every time you want to send a message. So far I have not found a solution either. I've tried sending an MMS instead of a text message and don't have this problem. It only seems to occur with text messages.

This is not related but it is a text issue.
When typing on screen the smart type or what ever it is called. The word that it thinks you are trying to type you tap it and it inserts it. How to you select it while typing on the slid out keyboard I think I have tryed every key so far and cant seem to find the secret.

Daninnc - I think my only solution was to Hard reset... This was so long ago for me, but it did work... and i've only had to hard reset twice since i had my 8525 both for different issues... one of which was cause of this... i don't recall it being related to any software since i don't use alot of 3rd party apps at all

Bacon - on your topic, (which is off topic) when using the predictive text while typing with the qwerty keyboard... when you see the word menu drop down, use the arrow keys to scroll to/highlight the word, and hit the enter button, and it will use that word. Just search or read the manual next time, it's there somewhere.

I know it was off topic but it was such a stupid question I did not want to start a new thread. Thanks for the answer I thought I tried that but I guess I missed it but thanks again. As for the manual I could not find it or I would not of asked. I do try to search and I did read but sometimes A quick question getting answered helps and could help others at the same time.
Thanks

are you getting this while in 2G, 3G or both? I have no problems sending SMS from the 8525 in CT

It's happening in 2g. We don't have 3g service here yet, so I can't test it.

actually the 8125 you mentioned isn't a 3G mobile.

I sucked it up and went ahead and did a hard reset. That fixed the problem but it sure is a pain to have to reinstall everything.
