Hi, I´m a noob so be nice if I ask something obvius

I have a Motorola v710, my wireless provider is Unefon in Mexico City,
My Wireless provider use CDMA.
I know this phone has Bluetooth but I can´t transfer files from my pc or Mac using it.
I do a little search and I find this is a Firmware issue, My current software version is 8700_01.38.0e, and I find that Verizon realease and update for resolve this issue.

The questions are...
Can I flash my v710 with this update?
Is there any verizon only settings or info inside this firmware, that can change the way my v710 works with my local Provider?

Is this firmware compatible with any v710?

I don´t know much about this kind of hacks, mods.
please I need some help.

you do not need to reflash your phone, reflashing it will not fix the issue. you need to do a seem edit. hop on over to mark's page and read...

With the seem edit I can activate the OBEX service?

If so I will do it.

I´ll read the mark´s web for see what can I find.

I check the mark´s page and follow all the instruccions for the seem edit, and when I find the 6a offset already has the bit on for the bluetooth USB transfer,
But every time I try to explore the filesystem inside the macbook´s bluetooth manager the OBEX service doesn´t show up, it only detects the modem gateway service.

Did somebody has tried this before?

What else can I do?
