Hi All,

When I access the web on the phone I notice that there is an E for the Edge network above the signal strength bars. When I'm done uwing the web and go back to the home screen, I still see the E above the signal strength bars. Does thI'm still connected to the web? If so, how do you disconnect? Please advise.

Thanks,
Mike

You phone always has an EDGE or 3G access when you are in an area that provides data support. You are not charged for having access, but rather the number of bytes of data that you send and receive. So you want to see the E or 3G displayed.

If you have a blackjack, you WILL want to turn off 3g, however, because it sucks up battery power (like bluetooth, but worse). There's a work around for that, but I don't know it (search the forums).

You disconnect easily by clicking on Wireless manager. Select menu & you'll see option 1 states "Disconnect from Cellular Data".

On the Home Screen if you click on the Line with your phone provider name, it takes you right into the Wireless Manager.
