Hey everyone,

so.. i have the tmobile mda.. And im just curious about this. I understand the difference between edge, and gprs. But right now for instance im sitting here and i have the E icon showing.. that means edge is avl. correct? yet.. when i go to internet explorer.. and it connects it says connected to gprs.. but i still have the icon with the service bars and E (icon) above..

Is this connected to edge?

kinda a stupid noob question.. but ive just been curious. I never used edge before..

any advice?

thanks!

If you have an "E", your edge. If you have a "G", it's gprs.
You can go to a speed test and see what you get if you want to verify.
http://text.dslreports.com/mspeed is a half way decent one. Try running one of the tests there. If it's 60-200kbps, it's edge. If its like dial up, it's gprs.
