Hello. The buttons on my razr aren't registering. It was working fine this afternoon, but when I pick it up now nothing happens. Sometimes it says it's recording a voice message, but now that the memory is full the keys don't register even slightly. The on and off button still works, but otherwise I might as well be trying to get a wall to make a phone call. I tried taking the battery in and out, but it still mocks me with its inanimate screen and text message alert picture in the corner. Thank you very much for whatever help you can offer.

This is usually due to a bad side key flex. This is the flex under the face plate and caller ID lens. A short in this flex will prevent all keys but the power key from working.

The only other time we see the issue is liquid damage at the the flex connector where the side key flex plugs in.

On newer V3s, I would look to corrosion or other damage where the key flex feeds through the housing and coonects to the display.

Given your symptom, I would bet on the side key flex.

Thank you very much. Is there a way to fix that?
