The Terayon TJ 615 is a high performance CableLabs® DOCSIS 1.1-certified cable modem that delivers data at wire speed via HFC cable networks. Designed for residential and business applications, this modem delivers downstream data transfer rates of up to 43 Mbps at 256-QAM demodulation (30 Mbps at 64-QAM demodulation). Upstream modulation uses burst QPSK and a 16-QAM modulation to provide data transfer rates of up to 10 Mbps, the highest rate defined by DOCSIS standards.

The Terayon TJ 615 cable modem is also DOCSIS 2.0-based. It can be combined with either member of Terayon's BW 3000 family of DOCSIS 2.0-based CMTSs (Cable Modem Termination Systems) to form the industry's first end-to-end DOCSIS 2.0-based cable data system. The Terayon TJ 615 is the latest addition to the company's new line of DOCSIS cable modems based on chips developed by Imedia Semiconductor™, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Terayon.
