Hello Everyone.
I am sorry if this questoin has been asked many many times, i tried to search.
My friend has motorola V3i with cingular firmware, he asked me if it is possible to disable the outside botton for the camera because alot of time's it turns on in his pocket.
So if ANYONE can answer if it is possible ?

Any help would be really appreciate. Thanks in advance guys.

LOL and then he gets a bunch of photos taken of blackness right?

haha i remember that. see if he can change the "smart key" to something else. That's what it is. but i dont' know how cingular works out their firmware on their phones so yea.

if you do the following it will keep you from having your camera run while the button is pressed by accident:

Go to: Menu-->Settings--> Security-->Lock Application-->Multimedia-->choose "locked"

Now, anytime you need to access any of your multimedia, you will see the security code prompt.

If anyone has a better way, let us know.

Yes, there is a seem edit to introduce 2 seconds wait before the cam is activated. That's usually enough to avoid accidental turn-ons. U will have to SEARCH for the link.

I like reccomending my favorite mod in regard to your issue. I think you use p2k menu editor 3.2 as found on the motomodders site...just remap that key to another function...such as programming it to cycle through your songs when using sound player so you don't have to open your flip to change songs in your playlist. You can still change your ringstyles with the flip closed but you won't use your camera accidentally anymore because it won't map to that function.
