Hello everyone,

Am very interested in buying myself the new Dash from T-mobile to replace my current phone. However, I have a few questions before I am ready to decide if I will bite the bullet...

Since I have a WLAN wireless network in my home, will I be able to connect to the internet on the DASH even without having an internet plan with tmobile?

Also, can you add your own music or sound clips from your computer to this phone to be used as ringtones? if so, is this done over the internet, or through a USB connection with the phone and the computer?

Yes you can add your own ringtones/music clips either thru downloading from the internet or through usb.

That's the whole point to go Dash - WiFi. I know a review posted to CNET claimed that Dash's WiFi does not work at home. Seems that post is still there and giving people wrong impression. My Dash's WiFi works VERY well.

Yes, my dash works well with wi-fi.

I too have a question though for anyone else that can answer it.

I currently have only a voice plan, and unlimited texts, and NO data plan. My old t-zones fell off, so I don't have t-zones either. But I'm still able to connect to the internet even if I'm not connected to a wireless network. How is this possible? And am I getting charged for a certain amount of data downloaded?
