HELP!!!!
I just recieved my new (used) 903T, put in my sim card from T-mobile (US) and....NOTHING.
I get an error message saying please insert a valid usim card. Can I fix this? Is the phone locked and the guy I bought it from is a big *** liar? Please tell me there is a way to get this phone working.

found the thread:

here

something about a 32k vs 64k sim card? I have no idea

Posted by: ace587

hmm ddnt knw that

So is that unique to the 903T? In this thread http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...63&page=5&pp=15

people seen to be suggesting that the 904T can work with T-mobile. Could the 903T be that different? (okay can you tell I'm a newbie at this?) Also I've seen profiles with various Toshiba phones and T-mobile as the provider, so it's gotta be possible right? I'm hoping someone with toshiba t-mobile experience will join in here and keep me from becoming completely neurotic about this phone.

Also while I'm waiting for my unlock kit to arrive...how on earth do you tell if you have a 32 or 64kb sim?

grr I'm beginning to wish I just stuck with my old boring brick of a phone

Posted by: ace587

it will say at the sim, hopefully u get urs unlocked

Posted by: Teruterubozu

hmm ok looking at the sim card. white with big red T, lots of numbers in a 4x5 grid (no 32's or 64's) number on the side says ocs 2.3.
WAIT! that's 32 backwards! sorry I'm just getting desperate. I guess all I can do is cross my fingers and hope that the unlock will work.

Do you have a friend with a Cingular card? Try that- if it works, then something's wrong with your card. If it doesn't, then your phone is locked.

I'm discovering that no one I know uses cingular. They all have either verizon or t-mobile. Anyone know if one of those cingular pay as you go cards would work for testing purposes?

Posted by: ace587

the pay as you go are 64ks
