What kind of slider/twist phones would be good in this price range? I prefer a phone that's not available at either rogers/fido/telus. I currently have the Nokia 6620 and want to upgrade to something else. Thanks.

try 3250 nokia

I find that fone a bit too bulky, oh, you could also recommend swivels as well.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/107)

What r the functions that u r looking for?... Should you future phone be more camera orianted or lean more towards pim function?

Hmm, well I want it to be a mp3 player, not a dedicated one but maybe one that can get through a few busrides a day. Has a decent camera, 1.3 mp + .
I actually saw a Samsun e900 for $303 before tax. Is that good? Any other suggestions or is that a good deal? I'm checking out the site www.puremobile.ca and they have good store reviews and fast shipping... plus cheaper prices? Thanx for any future input.

E900 is a really nice phone..here is a review of the phone...

have you ever looked @ the moto E2.. its nice 1 to consider..here is the review of E2

Did u try the kg810

Posted by: impruv

the e2 is uglee in my mind, e900 seems to be what i'm leaning towards... the kg810 is quite nice also...the chocolate... is slide or flip better?

Also, the e900 and kg810 is a difference of 3 $ at puremobile.... so which would be better?

But the E900 isn't quad band and we need quad band in N.America...

which bands do I need in Canada? 850 and 1900? But regardless.... so i NEED a phone that has quad band?

Posted by: yangj08

Well, depends on where you are. Some places, you only need 1900 and you're good. Others, you need 850 as well.

Check out the Rogers forum and see the big sticky thread where they list the requirement for 850mhz.

Well I live in toronto and I'm a 16 year old just going to malls/skool/home...

From what I read, 850 seems pretty important... but if I'm either usually in a mall/my house or my skool; would 1900 be good enough?

Most likely not.

Samsung d600,d820.... if you want to spend a little more then a samsung d900.

Posted by: impruv

Actually; the D820 seems like a pretty good choice right about now...although 20$ more than the E900; it has the 850 with a 1.3mp instead of 2mp.

One last question... should I take the plunge and buy it now? or maybe near january there will be a price drop of phones with new ones coming out in the new year?
