Pearl sofware upgrade via T-Mobile?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I received an email today from T-Mobile that they have a software upgrade for the BB Pearl. When I checked their site, they seemed to have the same OS available for downoad as the one I have on my device right now.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Hopefully they'll have an upgrade for the Pearl OS on the site soon.

4.2.0.69 is the latest OS. Why not just load the Cingular OS onto your BlackBerry? According to the T-Mobile site their latest OS update for the BlackBerry is 4.2.0.64 and can be dowloaded here.

Does the new Cing software re-add the option to turn OFF the auto-dim?

Thanks for the link. Too bad I have to register with BlackBerry to download it. I'll wait for an update from a different site.

Has anyone tested the Cingular OS?

No you don't. I never registered and I downloaded it.

Yes - I am running the Cingular (4.2.0.69) released code on a T-Mobile 8100. It's running fine.

Bump. Anyone know??

does this upgrade make the menus faster? It seems kinda laggy

Posted by: Synncere

My overall speed seemed to have improved significantly when I had upgraded from the .64 OS to the .67 OS and now w/ the .69 OS the speed seems the same as it was w/ the previous .67 OS I was running.

I got a message from tmobile yesterday also (12-13-06) saying there was an important upgrade for my blackberry, but when i checked, seems to be the same release from last month.

OK, so it wasn't just me who got that message. Maybe they are sending out the message too early, and they are anticipating an OS upgrade on their site in the near future.

I was told by someone in blackberry support that it would take longer to roll out the new upgrade compared to .64. They said that the last upgrade came out rather quick and the next one would take a bit longer.

4.2.0.69 is already out and released by Cingular.

That is the release I am using. I mean that T-mobile's next release would take a while to comeo ut.
