HTC S620 LCD Cracked!!! HELP!!!

Okay im over the depression state that my $400+ mobile phone is broken .

Now I want to deal with it and get it fixed or replaced. I've never had an issue like this and do not know where to go. example local, send it in to manufacturer, buy lcd and replace it myself, ect... please help.

by the way I live in Los Angeles, CA.

Really sorry to hear that, and unfortunately I don't have any suggestions... I would say call/email HTC and ask how much a replacement would cost. Mind if I ask how it broke?

phone was in front pocket screen facing away from me. leaned up against back bumper of expedition to pull out luggage guess which one didnt give.

I called them (HTC) up for my MDA, they said it would be $170. Needless to say, I signed a two year contract, aftr rebate $149, no brainer for me = new dash.

update

well i called htc t mobile division
1-888-356-2375

and im mailing her out today..i pay shipping to them and 125 bucks..they will fix my phone and mail back. so ill keep u all posted

oh and i dont even have t mo its unlocked for cingular

so we will see how long for all of this....sniff i miss her already

wow, $125....i paid $9 for my dash (109.99 and $100 MIR) but $125 seems steep. i am not sure what you do in the meantime though without a mobil phone? i bet its at least 2 weeks before you see it again

well i paid 350 for it.i had to buy it outright ..im a cingular user...so no t mo discount for me....and im not with out a phone just use my razr for the mean while....if i could just get them to send me the lcd, i could make the repair myself...

i called all around and searched for a lcd, but same answer....its to new for replacement parts

Just curious as so far HTC only usually supports/services HTC U.S. carrier sold devices at the Houston facility. It is nice to know they are at least servicing the Dash there. My guess is that for the S620 its still going back to Europe for repairs. One might be able to argue with HTC to let them send it to Houston especially if you were paying for a repair vs. a warranty repair where you might not have a choice.

well they called me yesterday and asked me if i wanted to go ahead with the lcd repair....um hell ya....$123.50 then they asked me if i wanted 2 day shipping for 10 or overnight for 15...and me wanting my phone back asap...said overnight that puppy...then said it will be fixed and shipped in the next couple of days...fingers crossed for tommorrow...teehee

what's common for dash users.. leaning up on the bumper of SUVs with the phone LCD pointing forward? I think this was just bad luck.

the common thing that it is easy to cracke....forget the leaning on truck ....just it be simply in pocket and maybe lightly bump...did u read the other post? about phone being int he pocket??

Yeah mine is cracked, I do not even know how it happened. I doesn't take much. The dash is definitely a fragile phone.
