Blackjack storage full?!?

I've searched around a little and I've seen a few mentions of other people with this problem, but I can't fix it. Starting a couple days ago, I began to get 2 error messages, back to back. The first one said that the "free storage" is almost full, and the second one (received at the same time) says that the storage IS full. I am not able to receive or send any email, SMS, or MMS message while the storage is full.

The weird thing is that I haven't downloaded anything to the phone. I do have a decent amount of email spread among 3 accounts, but the number of emails on average has not changed significantly in the last few weeks (because I keep them for 30 days, so every day a whole days worth of email gets deleted).

Another weird thing is that this evening I cleaned up a whole bunch of older emails, emptied the internet cache and deleted anything I could. It freed up about 7MB (which still left me with 43 of 50MB taken... seems high still), and then about an hour later I again got a storage full error and notice that I have 0.00MB of free storage!

Anyone know what's going on here?

I am having the same issue. I know that there is a registry change that you can make to store your email on the memory card but I haven't done that yet. I also have not really downloaded much to the phone. I ended up deleting one of my 3 email accounts and haven't gotten the error since I've done that, but not the optimal solution as I would like to have all my email.

Anyone else have any suggestions??

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much storage is used when the phone is "virgin?"

There's a free utility called PocketMem that you can download from the following link:

http://www.thbi.de/us/software/pock...load/index.html

One of it's functions it to scan your phone and list files/folders by largest size first. I've found this to be useful as WM5 Smartphone can sometimes create ever growing log text files that are ok delete. These files can grow to a pretty large size.

Even if you're not sure whether you can delete a file, it will at least tell you if there are any huge files on your phone that you can then post on here and some knowledgeable expert will tell you if it's safe to delete :-)

Pocket Mem was not designed for the Smartphone. While it does run, the display is so messed up, it's practically useless.

I've been having a similar issue. Tweaks2k will let you save email to the storage card, i haven't enabled that yet. When it happens to me, i browse the phone via active sync and find/delete the offending files

Sorry... but this is untrue. It was designed for the smartphone, just not for a landscape screen so the display does look a little odd. I have it running on my blackjack and can scan to find the largest files and delete any dubious ones. You can find it at the following link. Let me know if you have any questions...

I know that the only time that I have gotten that message is when I have too many Text's. I am a heavy texter so my text folders fill up quick.
