just curious how often a day if ever do you reset your device?

At least once just to clear out the memory, and for good measure.

I've had my 8525 for eight days now and I have only had to reset it once because a software installation asked me to do so.

For the first week I had it, I did not have an 3rd party software installed on it and I only had to reboot it once. Once I had a bunch of the software that I previously had on my 8125, I found myself rebooting it every other day. It boots so much faster than the 8125 that I don't really have an issue with it.

Same issue, i found myself rebooting it often due to the 3rd party apps. Good thing it boots fast or else i'd be annoyed by it.

I must usually reset mine every time I want to Activesync it. That is my biggest gripe with it. Constant Activesync issues. I finally started backing up before any changes/additions to the device just in case I can't get it to sync.

I had problems w/ Activesync using another mini USB cable for another device... once I switched to the cable that came with the phone ... no worries!

I had a mess with ActiveSync for awhile. I tried the 4.5 beta and went back to 4.2. I tried deleting all the connections and starting over, but no luck. One day I tried changing a setting. By going to Start/Settings/Connections/USB to PC then clicking on the box for Advanced connections. Then syncing and then reversing the process and unchecking the box and syncing. Anyways after I did this I haven't had any trouble using USB ActiveSync.

Bluetooth ActiveSyne has been flawless since I installed it.

As for rebooting I only do this when necessary. But since I have been doing a lot of RegEdits ans software installs, it is usually a few times a day.

under normal conditions, 2-3x/week. When I'm fiddling with it, multiple times a day for the duration of my testing of apps.

i've had my 8525 for almost a month now, and i have yet to reset the phone, which is friggin nice.

i remember with my mpx220, i had to reset the damned thing at least twice a day, because it was constantly hemmoraging memory, and it would just come to a crawl.

Agreed, in that case I have yet to reset mine do to major lockup, and maybe twice because it was running slow. Its been a little less than a month now.

I have my Spb Backup do a reset for me after a scheduled backup every morning at 5am.

I tend to soft reset my 8525 every few days. I got the phone on the release day and it locked up maybe 2 times total.

I don't mind soft resets because its quick.
