okay i give up! actually have been researching and reading posts all day. need a little help.
i had loaded some skins with p2kman. then later on deleted them with no problems. but they are still in my phone. i mean the skins are not there just the names of the skins i have deleted. if you try to select them it just goes to the factory default skin so they are really not there......right?
i mean it's not a big deal, just annoying knowing that i don't want the names there but i can't get rid of them.
if i hook up to p2kman they do not show up in the skins folder. i have tried to make a new folder in p2kman with the same name of the deleted skin in the phone-restarted and then deleted it again to no luck.

can someone help me out please?

The reason that they would show on your phone but when chosen only goes to Motorola's default skin is because the folder is still there but the files aren't. You said that you used P2K Manager, try using P2K Tools and check the skinz folder to see if it's there or not, if so, right click the skin folder and "Delete Folder". Restart.

What you really need to do is follow this.

Get BitPim
Connect the phone and get it read. (Phone must be in modem mode for BitPim to read it)
Read the file system
Navigate through the file folder tree to the skins
select the offending skin folder and delete it

P2k commander WILL NOT DELETE the folder. Only the files contained within it.

You may need to do a seem edit to unlock QPST transfer in the phone itself before BitPim will let you delete the folder. You will know right away when you go to delete the skin folder by right clicking and the Delete option is not there.

P2k tools are for GSM phones only.
