how in heck you dont have internet acess!u should get it, it opens many doors my friend!!In order to update it, you got to have acess to the internet. or just get the complete new version of it, so you wont have to update it!

3.4 is a know bogus/hacked version... and it will NOT live update...

The latest MPT is v4.36c.

i cant tell you if that is correct or not, I dont use it myself, my v3c is not supported by it.

and besides, i got that file a long time ago, so obviously there is going to be newer version of it since months has passed.

but anyways, thanks for putting your 2cents!

I use p2k as well, but my wife uses it for her v365. It has an easier interface and she can make her own ringtones easily. I'll just have to install it somewhere else an update it for the new files

I can tell you for a FACT that 3.4 is a bogus Version.. BVRP/Avanquest Will tell you that too as they never released a 3.4 version. They went from 3.30 to 4.0x. And it was discussed back when the V3C came out...

For V3C support, you need MPT V4.04b. (I don't recall if the V3C was supported by V3.28 or v3.30, but I know it definately was in 4.04b). The V3C was NOT supported by 3.40 as it was based on a version released 6 months PRIOR to the V3C phone being released. When the V3C came out, we had a rash of "hey, my MPT is up to date, but doesn't support the V3c" only to find it was 3.4... Someone DID question BVRP in their forums, only to find they PURCHASED this BOGUS copy.

The BOGUS 3.4 also has an OLDER Date code than the 3.28 version when you do a HELP -> ABOUT. Because its not a legit version, it will NOT live update to the latest, and will always report you have the "latest version."

NOTE: there was also a hacked version of MPT v3.11h floating around on P2P and stuff that also will NOT live update to anything newer, and will always report you have the "latest version."

I'd have to seach to find some of the old posts... and my searching skills to find threads over a year old are not very good.

Mark is correct to the best of my knowledge. I just finished loading and updating MPT for a friend today; did not see the bogus version as part of the update; did finish with 4.36c or something like that (can't recall specifically).
