anyone else hear they'll be comming out with a red and a blue sync? i'd like to see what they look like, but tenatively the colors should be released around 1/20/07.

P.S. my source also lists the krzr coming out 12/22, the moto izar (stupid name) 1/15, and the n75 1/3 OF COURSE THESE ARE ALL TENATIVE DATES just thought i'd fan the flames

how reliable is your source? And can you give us his position\status?

It was the case when EVERYBODY had razr phones!!!!

Now I think I know about 5 people have the d807 phones, now they have a white one. I think since Verizon has red, white, and green chocolates, they'll soon have a red and green d807 too. Just look at both and you can tell that the d807 looks ALMOST EXACTLY like the chocolate.

BUT TO CHEAPEN THE SYNC? I think the release of the KRZR for Cingular will cheapen the sync because people (somehow, I don't know because i'm quite the opposite--I'll pay more for a Samsung anyday.) like Moto's products better and they'll buy an item that is inferior in quality because of the advertising. I bought the razr myself and as soon as an item that was inferior to the razr came out that was made by Samsung came out, I bought it.

I'll give you a short story: My family went traveling yesterday and my dad got a phone call. I have a Samsung d807 and my father has a razr phone that was purchased about one month earlier than my d807. Guess which phone got the best reception and the clearest call on Cingular's network?

Hint: The MIGHTY razr phone dropped the call.

I hope they do change the whole color of the sync's. The Red and Blue ones should take after the c417, and have silver on the inside. I dont think Black on the inside would look very good.

besides that. I think the Krzr might be released a few days ealier. Just because 12/22 is way to close to Christmas and I would think they would want to get as many as possible sold by Christmas.

ugh, i hope not. i dont want a repeat of the razr. i already think that this phone wont be popular (i personally dont want a phone that everyone and their mom has), but who knows.

Just another reason to sell phones. This will get more girls, and other people that buy things stricktly on the way they look, to go out and grab one of these, and start to use the 3g network that cingular is trying to promote tha crap out of right now. Just a way to make more money by the month for cingular. They made a great phone look like ***. It doesn't do the same for me that the different colors in the RAZR did when they launched.

Now just have one in every color of the rainbow like the razr's and they won't be popular anymore.

They have it in Black/Grey, Gold and Red. I hope they look as nice as the c417's do.

The black is okay but they should have launched the Sync with more colors. I like the Sync it's growing on me, I never really have been a fan of Samsung but the blackjack and the sync have worked well for me. I will say this AT&T samsung line up stand out from the cookie cutter phones sprint has...

I was skeptical of the red until seeing it in person... it has a metallic look to it. Very sharp looking.

My wife really liked everything about eh SYNC (A707) UNTIL we learned that it does not have voice recognition.

That means no voice dialing etc..... she uses her phone in the car all the time and sort of eliminates this phone as a choice.

I hope SAMSUNG makes a change soon and adds this feature. I can't believe that they let a Bluetooth phone out the door without it.

That's one thing that bothers me about Samsung... They'll come out with a great product, but there is always one or more things that just ruin the whole product.

That one thing on this phone is the S-L-O-W menus. I can't take it, especially when trying to adjust the master volume with the side keys.

It is an real issue, but I'm not going to pay another $5/mo for that service. Man... the monthly bill is high enough now. It's easier to just get a different phone wiht that feature.

We live in Maryland, and they are hot to trot again on banning the use of a cell phone in a car UNLESS you use "hands free".

My point is, there are several States already where you MUST use hands free in the car, and many more who will enact similar laws before much longer.... What was Samsung thinking ? I would consider this a707 a high end phone and to leave this feature off, on a Bluetooth phone is... well.... stupid.

My wife absolutely LOVED the large font on the screen. It was so easy to read.

Maybe the Sony Ericsson 810i ?

That is a feature I will miss with my Blackberry which I returned. I am going to get the Sync sometime today in blue. I wonder if they upgraded Sync "727" with that feature.

Has anyone had the chance to purchase the blue SYNC from Cingular? I just can't wait to get that phone. I have a Sony Ericsson and it's annoying. My phone never charges right and it takes forever for the phone to acknowledge that I have stuck the charger in it. Does the SYNC have problems with charging?

The phone has no charging problems. The only problem that I've seen is with the phone's owners...who can't seem to put it down because it is so cool!

Do you know when the New Blue Sync is supposed to be available? First I heard it was supposed to be available on the 29th and then I read somewhere that it isn't supposed to be out until February!

Because my favorite color is blue. I have always like blue. My boyfriend wants it in the red. But we are waiting until the blue one comes out so we can order them together so we can get them on the same day. CRAZY!!

Go here for ringtones and message tones for your new Syncs.

And get couple of 1GB micro SD memory cards or 2GB micro SD memory cards

You might as well get a good Bluetooth dongle

or a USB data cable

With the Bluetooth dongle you can have both phones hooked up to the computer. You can browse and download files that you put in your Bluetooth Exchange Folder. Razr's cannot do this.

I have both and I prefer the dongle. Just turn on Bluetooth on your phone and you're connected. 3 easy key presses to turn it on. Right soft key, 1, center soft key. Then you can right click on the file you want to send to your phone and select your phone as the destination. You can also use Samsung PC Studio via Bluetooth. Samsung PC Studio is available on Samsung's website. Download rates are fast with the version 2.0 Bluetooth. Get the dongle I directed you too or make sure the one you get is Bluetooth version 2.0 with EDR (enhanced data rate). I have the Anycom 250 dongle. It costs more, but it works awesome!

I saw that some people on ebay were managing to get them in a limited edition "valentines day" box. Do all the RED Sync's come with this box that are sold around this time, or is it just some how specially obtained?

I am going to go get my gf one of these for valentines and the box would just be the frosting on the cake.

I got my red SYNC two weeks ago this coming Friday and it didn't come in a Valentine's Day box.

I know the blue SYNC is available on Amazon, but I don't want it in two weeks, i would prefer to have it within the next 24 to 48 hours. Cingular is really good at shipping things within a 24 hour period after you order something.

I just got the red Sync yesterday. I must say, it looks better in person than it does in pictures. I also didn't get the Valentine box but that's ok. It also feels like the outside of the phone isn't as slick as the gray one or as prone to fingerprints.
