7290 BT Phonebook Transfer to Handsfree - BMW 5 Series & HBC-700

I have standard Rogers 4.1.0something on my 7290. I finally got the phone book to show up on the iDrive on my 5series after deleting all the distribution lists. However, the phone book entries still don't get transfer to my other car's SonyErisson HBC-700 handsfree. It says PhoneBook not supported.
any ideas why the BB7290 doesn't want to transfer the phone book to the Sony handsfree?
