Will a "range" booster help 8525's reception?

I have tried 2 different 54RG LinkSys routers...and I can only get about 20 feet with the 8525's wifi radio! I have enabled "performance" but still the same.

Laptops have no problems with the same routers...any ideas? Will a range booster help?

It should , I use one with my Linksys router and it works great
