Am I seriously handicapping myself if I don't have a data plan for the Blackjack?

I really want to buy the blackjack, but I can't afford a data plan right now (Canada's data plans are extremely expensive). I can't wait for the Samsung i600 (Blackjack with wifi) to be released because I need a new phone now. I'm leaning towards the Cingular 8525 now simply because it has wifi, but the size of the device is making me thinking twice about getting it. The only thing that I can think of that is pretty much useless to me would be the RSS reader and e-mail client since I won't have a data plan. So what do you guys think? Should I avoid the Blackjack simply because I don't have a data plan?

The 8525 is not that small...you get used to it....at first it seemed heavy to me, but now it's my new baby.

IF you think you'll get one eventually why not? Works fine as a regular phone. 8525 doesn't seem like a terrible phone either, so I'd see if you can test them out at a store. Do they allow that? I bought mine on the Phone so *shrug*.
