Hey guys,
i purchased a a920 from ebay and the esn is free and clear its just the previous owner has set the 4 digit lock code. The dilemma is: if i knew the persons last four digits of their cell number i could try that, which is factory default. Otherwise, does such a code, or software exist to unlock this bugger? Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Just how locked up is the device? Can you get in to reprogram the mobile number? If so, the default password will be reset as well.

nope. it will not let me do the ##675. the phone turns on and asked for a 4 digit lock code.

reflash or ask the previous owner, im not sure a bell dealer is going to reflash a non bm phone

reflash using what? samsung PST? the previous owner, was not the previous owner.... if you know what i mean. Some third party seller.
The surprising thing is, this phone is mint, esn is not on negative file... its just locked. i acquired this for an exceptional price.
i asked a sales rep about reflashing this phone, and i received a look like i had a horn growing from my forehead.
is there something i would be able to do? what do you think about approaching 1800SAMSUNG? hopeless??
thanks fellas

plug it in to bitpim and look up the nvm00002 file or whateer, the 4 digit number is the lock code

hey there, clearly i am new to BITPIM, but when connected, threre is no phone that matches the 920. i tried a handful of others and no shot at being recognized. plus if it matters- the two samsung 900 drivers available on a huge a920 hackers STICKY would not install for me. some windows errors?!

hmmm i dunno then, ur gunna need the drivers to work, try googling the error message that you get chances are theres a solution out there

Not sure of what your asking, but I just flashed my Samsung 920 today with Metro PCs.
Was trying to figure out if there was a possibility of being able to use the internet and mms even though they told me it wouldn't work.
