No USB port setting in LG Download Program Version 1.6

PC: Windows XP Pro SP2

I downloaded/installed 'LG Download Program Version 1.6', then applied 'Patch 2'. I then reboot, and install 'USB Driver WHQL v4.6.', reboot PC. I also download the firmware 'T85VZV04.bin' and install the 'VX8500Dll_Ver_0_1_37_0.msi'. When I attach my USB cable to my PC and LG KG800 Chocolate, the phone is recognised by the PC, but in the software it only has COM1 and COM2 under 'Config(C)'. I am located in Australia.

My current firmware is;

KG800P64FL-61-V10c-505-03
MAY 11 2006

I think you want com 4,5, or 6 for the usb cable.

Well I have the USB cable, but those COM ports aren't showing!

Version 1.6 supports serial connection only. You will either need to serial cable, or change your computer's com port settings if possible.

The KG800 is a GSM phone. LGDownload is for CDMA phones and the T85VZV04.bin file you have downloaded is for the VX8500 which is a CDMA phone.

Ok, so can someone point me to the correct version of the firmware and the software to apply the firmware to my phone, thanks!
