Help with data and Blue AT&T SIM, possible to get 3G on my new Blackjack?

Hi all,

I am sort of a newb when it comes to data, and never had a data plan with AT&T since I couldn't affort it. I am still on my AT&T plan and ordered an mMode unlimited plan in hopes of getting some data on my new Blackjack. Needless to say my AT&T plan is amazing and I would like to avoid migration to Cingular as much as possible.

Well, the Blackjack is here, unlocked, and voice is working fine with my old Blue SIM. I do get a 3G signal displayed on my SIM.

Now is it at all possible to get 3G on my blue SIM with my Blue plan on my Blackjack? what are my options? Possible to get any data? GPRS or even Edge? Can anyone help me with settings on the BJ for these?

dont let anyone tell you otherwise (ive been told NO by everyone) but your blue sim will pick up 3g, i have a blue sim and a blackjack and i get 3g......so there you have it.

it's far from that simple. If the user wants to be able to use all the features he's accustomed to in 2G then he needs to have a 3G SIM and features in the billing system

I am using my original ATT blue sim circa late 2002, and am up on 3G...

Note that I didnt need to unlock the phone or do anything --- just put the sim in the phone. I was already on a mmode unlimited plan. The only thing that I was not able to figure out is how to get to the mmode home page, but never used it anyway.
