Treo 700p Easy Sync problem

I am trying to use Easy Sync Pro to sync my notes and treo 700p. After installing and when I try to sync for the first time I get 'Unable to find HotSync'.

I've tried re-installing both Hotsync and Easy Sync with no luck.

Anyone else using Easy Sync with a treo?

I am having the exact same issue. I've followed the steps to completely uninstall EasySync 4.2.4 and the Palm/HotSync software including the registry edits recommended at the Lotus site. Still no luck.

HotSync works fine with the Palm Desktop, but it's not launching the EasySync application. When I try to Sychronize from the EasySync app I get the following pop-ups:

Window Title: Palm OS Device HotSync
Unable to find HotSync. Please restart Hotsync. If this doesn't work, please reinstall HotSync and try it again.
OK (only button)

Window Title: EasySync Pro
Unable to connect to device.
OK (only button)

I've verified my Notes.ini location in EasySync, but It seems I'm missing a hook in HotSync somewhere to direct it to kickoff EasySync.... Any suggestions appreciated.

I gave up after numerous installs and uninstalls following the exact directions of every option I could find.

I was getting the exact same message regarding hotsync not running. I went in the Palm site and found a product called mNotes by Commontime (www.commontime.com). I installed a trial version after uninstalling Easysync Pro and tried to do a sync from Notes of my address book and calendar.. Worked like a charm the first time!!!

It was so easy I couldn't believe it. Now...it is $75 for the license, but I will probably just get after my trial is over just to avoid the aggrevation. I would be interested if ANYONE had any success with Easysync Pro 4.2.4 installed with Hotsync 4.1.0 and the Palm Desktop 4.1.4.

I had this problem also, and found that it failed only when I installed EasySync in silent install mode. When I install using the normal user interface for the install it seems to find HotSync ok. Did you install it silently by chance?

I have this issue also..When you talk about silent what exactly do you mean?
I really need to sync with Lotus Notes and have the same issue :

I would really be interested if you know how to get round this.

My company has an online install service (ISSI) that installs EasySync. Instead of installing via this application I select "Deferred Install" and receive the installation executable. After uninstalling EasySync I re-install using the downloaded executable. It now works fine. Apparently the HotSync conduit doesn't get installed correctly otherwise. If you have a similar option to try installing locally perhaps this will help you as well.
