and mostly because you can't find companies that make connections for it from their devices... I.e. DIRECTLY connecting into the phone. In one had it is nice because you can charge and plug into something else, head phones, at the same time... that is it though...

I got to carry around this stinking y adapter everywhere I go... I just bout a freaking nother one. Now I want to USB my device to diff computer's and i can't because I have to have MY Y Adapter at ALL TIMES>... wtf...

anyone have a website to order products like a usb to 6pin mini for this thing.

I am not sure what you are wanting. I don't need the Y adapter unless I want to charge my phone and use the wired headset at the same time...which I never do.

No... you can't use the regular usb mini to connect to the phone directly... If you think that you are mistaken...

That is incorrect. Although the plug looks different, it WILL fit and it WILL charge/sync the phone without the adapter.

The mini-USB plug will only fit in one way, with the wider side away from the bevel.

Even the manual mentions you can plug the charger directly into the phone, and you only need the Y adapter to charge and listen to headphones at the same time.

WHAT T FFFFFFF... ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I did try that but it seemed like not a good connection. ARE YOU SURE THERE IS NO DIFF??? It doesn't seem the connection is quit the same.... Charging YESS... I would understand that because it is simple amperage electricity... but data??? I dunno know about that.

Ummmm.......I have been using the AC Charger and the USB cable directly WITHOUT the use of the Y-adapter. A lot of people think that you have to use it but you don't unless you want to use the headphones while charging.

It has no affect on data transfers.

What you're saying would be true if it was a simply power port. However, this is a mini-usb connection. You'll even notice the small USB symbol on the port on the phone.

I use the supplied USB->mini-USB cable to sync my phone every morning, as well as charge it. In fact, it's plugged in right now, syncing. No Y adapter in sight.

I activesync my 8525 with no Y-adaptor on an ancient mini-usb cable. Not even the one it came with. Use it everyday.
