Hi everyone, first time poster here....
I'm having a problem getting Motorola Phone Tools to work with my Krzr via Bluetooth. I was able to get connected via the USB cable (thanks to some of the info in this forum) but I really don't want to have to carry another cable around.
I am using MPT 4.3.6c have what I think are the latest drivers from the Motorola Developers site.
I believe my problem is setting up bluetooth.
I have the latest BlueSoleil I think - 2.3.0.0 Release 060728.
I installed BlueSoleil it found my Bluetooth dongle and seemed fine.
BlueSoleil found my phone and I am able to pair with it.
When I try to use MPT via Bluetooth it is unable to detect my phone.
I let MPT do the update thing then try to select the device I wish to use from the list MPT Displays, Bluetooth DUN Modem. It doesn't detect the phone so I pick the Sprint Krzr from the list but it just never initializes.
I really think my problem is with XP Pro SP2. I read that you should see some sort of Bluetooth devices in Control Panel but it doesn't show up there.
If I goto Device Manager I see Bluetooth DUN modem, Bluetooth Fax modem, Bluetooth LAP modem and Bluetooth LAP modem #2 - Device Manager reports that "This device is working properly." No errors anywhere in Device Manager.
If I goto device properties > Diagnostics > Query Modem I get and error, Modem failed to respond for all four Modems.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what to do next?
BTW I did go into the Bluetooth setting on the Krzr and under Access Settings I set Dial-up Networking Gateway to "Automatic" but it made no difference.
Thanks for any help!
