Wallpapers and Ring Tones?

Anyone here can give me some link on what is required to create Wallpapers (dimensions, extentions, etc.), as well as, ring tones. I know how to use Photoshop or any sound software (they are all pretty similar), but I need someone to point me to the right direction as to where I can get technical specifications.
If there are simple ways, let me know. This should include landscape mode.
