Yes yes as always everyone posts 'Oh set your default connection settings to data/fax' ... like we're all noobs. ANYWAY WinXP will now find and try to install my phone, I select the 2.9 drivers off p2kcommander some odd version and then lala it installs and cannot be touched by any pst/p2k program. Won't even find it, like nothing is connected NOR will MPT find it and I just did some big update where I noticed the V3x skin in the skins directory, huh! SO Anyway wanna touch this problem with a 10 foot pole? OR ARE YE NOT MAN ENOUGH TO TAKE THIS QUEST... arrrgh... dunno what's up. V3i started to not get found by the p2k/pst programs too, but MPT is A-OK! HELP ME or else.

There are a bunch of driver's to install.
You may need a patch from M$,If you have Sp2: I needed one.
Try getting this: KB822603-x86
BTW, "Help ME or else" may not be the best way to get a response.
Anyway try that patch and plug/unplug your phone to see if it sees new devices. I think there is 7 kind of devices to install, 1st of which is the Motorla usb modem. Don't let windoze install it for you, instead install from: Windows system32\drivers\P2k, or where ever your MPT drivers are.Brouse for them. Point to this location for every device your comp sees.

LOL the help me or else was just for fun! Ok I'll give'r a try. And uh MPT doesn't find my V3x anyway, so I dunno if it's drivers will help. I'll try though.

Ok, try another usb port
I ended getting another usb 2.0 card, I only had 1 working usb, I needed one anyway.
Can p2k see your phone? If it can connect to that first, then try mpt. It should work.
Another thing could be your usb cable. Try various combos including reinstalling MPT, untill you get it

Yeah I got 2 working usb ports and both have same responce. No p2k interaction has occured with it connected. I am downloading the drivers and well see...

Nothing... no p2k no MPT
