im having trouble converting mp3 songs to wav or midi
can someone please tell me how to do this to add ringtones to my motorola i850

You need to visit the Nextel forum, and look for a program called WebJAL. That is the only way that you can load ringtones on to your i850.

I am not sure what format ringtone that specific phone takes. Search a little, then search the internet for any type of ringtone that matches that description. It doesn't have to be a Nextel specific ringtone for it to work.

you can also dld my jal which is cheaper and get ur ringtones from nextpimp.com u have to register first but the ringtones are free and they are WAYYYYY longer than the ones u buy from nextel. 
as far a u doing it urself like i said u have to get either of those programs and upload at the auto baud rate but u have to change it into a wav format if u dont have mp3 on your phone
