Can a L6i be flashed as L6?

Hi moto gurus,

I have just acquired a L6i and unfortunately iSync wouldn't recognize it (for sync with Address Book and iCal). Only the SLVR L6 is recognized.

Since I don't need the iMode stuff, I guess the L6i could be reflashed with some generic L6 files... Would it be enough for iSync to "think" it is a plain L6?

Could anyone confirm this guess, and show me the way? (I found a .SHX file for the L6, but I confess I don't know how to process from then...

)

Yes, you can flash an L6i as an L6, but you loose stuff like Radio. What you need is RSD lite, Connect your phone and Browse to where the .shx is, then click on start. DONT disconnect your phone during the preocess, and make sure it has full battery to avoid it going off.
