Issues with outgoing mail on the blackjack

I set up my school's email using the express mail feature since i use a mac and have not yet gotten the sync software. I can receive mail but it will not send. The error message i get is s7132: cannot send message. Please check the recipient addresses and try again.

before anything is said, yes i did verify the outgoing mail address and they have all been correct.

Also, is there a way to have it automatically check for mail updates instead of having to manually hit the recieve action.

thanks for any help

I don't know about the outgoing mail error message, but to edit the settings for Xpress Mail you'll need to go to XM Settings in your settings folder. Nothing happens when you go to Account Settings from within your mail folders.

Start >> XM Settings >> Update Preferences

some smtp servers do not allow access from outside the network such as cox cable to prevent people from using their email for spam try changing to something like gmails smtp server i use a larger faster server for incoming and gmail for outoing

its imap

but yo, i can't even get gmail to work using the outgoing/incoming server info that they have posted

again, im sorry but im half retarded with this sort of stuff

Try setting the incoming sever as cwmx.com -- It is one of Cingular's mail servers. Thats what I have mine set as and I have no problems.

Don't you mean outgoing?

I'm getting the same error whenever I try to send email out on my new Blackjack. Any ideas how to fix this?

Would that be smtp.cwmx.com? Tried that and I get the same error on setup when modifying the account information

does your school have a separate smtp server? maybe goes through a different port? you can have it check at intervals every 1 min 15 30 1 hour 2 hour etc - I have mine every hour as it drains battery
