I got a used (but still in excellent condition) VX8300. The PHONE MEMORY menu says that I have 19769KB Used and only 8234KB Available. I'm assuming that most of that is junk because my VX8100 only has 1920KB Used and 30305KB Available! How do I clear some of the internal phone memory?

Easiest= Go buy a MicroSd card at Office Depot..They have 1/2 gig for $12.
If you do above, you can move stuff to the card w/o losing it.
They have a bunch of generic stuff (tunes, wallpaper) that you can move off. If you have GIN stuff, it is loaded in the main memory. Un subscibe to stuff you don't need. If there are .wma or .mp3 files, move them off. How about .jpg pictures, .mov files?

I have a 1GB micro SD. All my pics and music are on it. I deleted 3 GIN apps and all the wallpapers I could find. I don't know what could be taking up all that space. Thanks.

I decided to follow bfoos' instructions to "Refurbish" the phone back to its initial setup. Thanks bfoos. Your guide is so easy to follow.

Now PHONE MEMORY= 15116KB Used and 12887KB Available.
So the OS uses approx 15MB of the 28MB total.
