Own Ringtones on K790a?!

I just got my K790a, I want to make my own ringtones which I did and when I upload them to my phone I cannot use them as ringtones. I used mp3 format, anyoneone know how to do this>??

Whenever I try to put an animated .gif file on the phone it says icompatible or something

I'm assuming your K790a is from Rogers. You will need to unbrand your K790a to do such things.

thank you I checked out that site,
If I debrand my phone do I lose my Rogers web settings and information to connect to the internet and send MMS messages?
I was reading the information on that site and it sounds as if it erases everything and my phone might not connect to the internet.

I did it and it does reset your phone settings. I have no idea about your web settings because I dont use the web with my phone. Everything works good now without any problems. Rogers should be shot for making us have to do this in the first place

You can do it for free with PhoneXS, but it takes a butt lode of time.
