Ringtones transfering but cannot see on phone

I'm trying to put ringtones on my parents phones they have v325's. I have done the seem edit, and gone into mpt, i transfered the ringtones and it says that they are on the phone. so i go into the phone and they arn't there! i know that they are on the phone because i looked at the memory before i put them on, and the memory after i put them on and its a few mb difference. since the ringtones did not work i figured i would try a picture.. the picture worked fine! so i'm pretty confused on why i can't see them.
