Annoying Contacts search on Blackjack.

When I'm in contacts and I hit the "N" key on my BlackJack I would think It would only bring up users that's first or last name start with "N" right? It brings up "M" also which is a bunch of people I have to cycle through to get to "N". Isn't this annoying to anyone else?

It's all because of that stupid dual number pad where if you hit 1 or R it'll still register 1. So when I hit N it also registers M as if I hit the 9 key. I don't need that thank you. Any way to disable it.

If you tap the key twice it should go to the next letter....I would think. If not there is a way to disable it via the registry I am sure. Check xda developers and see if they have a solution already or request it, someone there will figure it out if it can be done.

Same issues here. Grr, it's bothersome. Hopefully a software fix will patch this up.

I found in the registry the mapping of the letter to number function. I haven't tried removing them to see what happens in the contact search.

I just wish the filter preference would stick so I don't have to manually filter out sim contacts everytime.

Well I went in there and deleted all the additional numbers associated with each number key. There were 3 for each number. Now it's worse...

When I go into contacts and hit the K key it registers it as 6 not even J. And when I hit B I think it's registering it as &. Now I gotta go back and put them back in. I'll figure this out yet.

I just want to disable the double key/fat finger option.

Yeah not sure if you can do this, but it sure would be nice. Might mess with some other things it does, but it would make it more obvious since it IS a QWERTY keyboard!! :P

Try this. From the main screen, press the right soft key 'contacts' and then type the name of your contact there. This works as expected at the expense of an extra key press.
