I've been trying to buy this application for over a month without success. I currently have paid for it from discount cell and they keep moving back my shipping date.

If anyone can tell me where I can buy this RIGHT NOW I would really appreciate it.

If anyone can tell me where I can get a copy to use in the interim I would also appreciate it. You can PM me or email me at fryguy302@gmail.com.

Thanks so much for any assistance.

Don't know why they would care. You can not buy this program. At least not from Kyocera.

Posted by: crackur

yes you can

If you call them and try to order it, they tell you it's no longer available.

If you order it from a third party like discount cell, they will just keep changing the estimated shipping date as soon as it gets close.

I just did all these things.

Thank you very much for the program, it works great.

Ya, he's right. The US cellular store says it can't be ordered anymore, either.

Maybe instead of posting file links, members could post file names, then those in need can find it on their PC or CD (because of couse, they aren't pirates and wouldn't take that filename to the google search box to find it themselves). Nothing illegal about that. The person requesting it "already has the file, he just is curious what name it has, since he forgot it and can't seem to locate it on the CD that he bought with the phone"

Being curious about filenames is not hosting or linking to copied software.

Posted by: crackur

sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if that makes you feel better about it......

Posted by: azmattaz06

lol who care's? Kyocera is not hurting for money why are you makin a big deal about it? they aren't gonna go out of buesiness over it lol

Posted by: crackur

I'm not but it is illegal.......I dont want dumbshit like this to hurt a site or have them be sued when they have helped alot of people discover and resolve issues with their phone

and since you a newbie you have no reason to come in here saying dumbshit off the start.

He could have easily sent a pm or an email...

Hi, my first time posting because it's a desperate plea for assistance. I'm looking for the tools so I can put ringtones on my phone. Not being able to play with my phone irks me, and I've been searching this site for assistance and can't find it, so I've been driven to post. I hate to ask again, but can somebody please help me locate the kyocera tools for my phone? And I have a black slider with black buttons, and I can't find my phone anywhere, not even on the kyocera site. I bought it in may at a tiny alltel store, but I haven't found it's twin anywhere. Not even alltel knows what my phone is, other than being a kyocera slider. What gives? Am I just a big dummy?

Hey, I have been looking all over the place for this program and I can't find it. The hosted files that people have posted don't work and I can't find it from a reputable company anywhere. Could someone who has a copy please PM me or email me at james@jrsmyth.com

Thanks.

I have also been looking all over the place. My USB cable only came with the driver. If someone could email it to johnstonw32988@juno.com it would be appreciated.

I have the data cable and driver and Phone Desktop, and a KX9d Oystr and am just trying to change a ringtone. The software doesn't recognize the phone.

Am I plugging this in correctly? The data cable plugs in the headset plug on top of the phone, using the same jack as a headset?

I think I may need MPT and not Phone Desktop. If so, can someone send to me ncogit (at) hotmail (dot) com

Posted by: healthman345

Try using Bitpim

Posted by: makena

Thanks. I just tried bitpim and it can't recognize the phone either. Now I'm wondering if I even have it plugged in. The only place to plug things in to this kx9d Oystr phone are:
Power jack on bottom
Headset connection
What looks to be external antenna jack

Of these, the only one that the data cable I bought fits is the headset connection. I'm wondering if this phone has no external place to plug a data cable, so when plugged in to the headphone jack I'm really not connected to the phone at all???

I have a data cable USB to a jack which looks like a headphone jack, but looks like it has 4 connectors on it, that is 3 places on the "pole" separated by insulators, plus the base which would be a 4th connection. It fits very well in the headphone socket.

Has anyone had any experience connecting an Oystr KX9d phone to a computer at all with a data cable such as I'm describing?

Wow, this thread is still alive. I've long since changed to a Treo 700w, because AMP'd Mobile went out of business. I'll see if I can find the program, I did get it to work tethering it to my laptop back then.

Also, I have two Kyocera JET phones if anyone wants them. Will trade for any kind of decent shape flip phone that will work with Verizon, just for a spare.

Ok, I have QPST but have NOT A CLUE what to do with it.

Scares the holy hell out of me, as I don't know anything about any of this...

All I wanted was a way to put games and ringtones on my phone.

Will QPST do this?

I am waiting to see if my computer will ever finish d/l ing Kyocera Mobile Phonetools. If it does, will THAT work?

Also, QPST does not detect that there is a phone plugged in...even when I tell it which port to look in.

Same problem I have had with BitPim and other similar programs.

I need to return my data cable if I am not going to be able to use it, and that is only available to be returned for a certain amount of time.

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks :-)

anndrea

p.s.
My phone is a Kyocera Strobe (K612b) originally from Alltel, fully flashed to CricKet (web and mms working).
